Please contact us to be put on a wait list or added to the mailing list for the 2019 season

Community Supported Agriculture is a way for farmers to get commitment from community members at the start of the season by pre-paying for a weekly share of the farm's harvest. This provides farmers with stable financing that allows the focus to be on growing safe, sustainable crops through the farming season. Your investment allows for the farmer to buy all of the seeds, equipment and amendments needed to grow the highest quality produce possible. With the farm share you will also be entering into shared risk with the farmer. From bountiful harvests to maybe a not so successful crop depending on the season.

Through our CSA program you will gain access to the healthiest and most nutritious produce available. You will also have peace of mind that our produce is being grown safely and thoughtfully on one farm, by one farm family, supporting the local food system and local economy. This program will increase the connection you have with your food, and your weekly pick up days allows you to explore the farm with family and experiment with new recipes and tricks to great eating!

Our farm runs on a best practice system, we use a combination of management practices that ensures our produce is the highest quality possible. We do our best to use mechanical and cultural pest management to keep our farm pests under control. Black plastic mulch, flame weeders, roto-tiller and old fashion weeding techniques are used to keep encroaching weeds down. Row covers help to keep insect pests out of our susceptible crops and a good crop rotation plan ensures that we are keeping pests at a minimum from season to season. Fertility is managed here by adding well composted cattle manure as well as our own manure produced by our laying hen flock. Supplemental organic fertilizer is added as needed to our drip irrigation system throughout the season.

Each share will include a variety of vegetables, herbs and fruit (when available). You will receive more consistent staple items like onions, cooking greens and beans, as well as a few unique varieties to enjoy. We will work hard to ensure each week is a wide variety of old favorites and new!

Our CSA Season will run for 16 weeks, from approximately mid-June through September. The exact start date will depend on the weather and an official start date will be announced to members once the growing season is underway.
